The good
Great friends, great job (even when I do complain), becoming closer with my sister, my trip to Ireland, Katy's wedding and seeing my Morris Crew again, Getting to the halfway point of grad school, leaving a great roommate and moving in with other great roommates.
The bad
My dad getting skin cancer (but then getting healthy), the stresses of grad school while working full time. Not getting to work out as much as I'd like. My grandparents deciding to move out of the house I've only ever known them to live in.
The ugly
My grandpa getting his prostate cancer back in his bones.
What to look forward to in 2008:
Hopefully another trip out of the country, Another year of grad school to get me closer to May 2009 graduation, my great friends and family. Four weddings. A new manager and growth potential at work.

Happy Holidays!
Happy Holidays!
I'm spending the week in CT; hanging out with family, playing cards, seeing my friend from home, relaxing oh and working from home on Thursday and Friday.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love giving gifts. I like the good food that pops up at events and I like spending quality time with my family. I'm really excited to play cards with my grandparents and hang out with them.
Traditions are important in my family. Tomorrow I will be going to my grandparents along with the rest of the family and we'll eat through out the day and then do a Yankee Swap. My parents and I will go to folk mass and then we'll go back to my grandparents for gifts and dessert with everyone. This year my cousin is bringing her BF Dana. My goal is to call him Dana because the last two times I've talked to her about him I called him her exes name which is weird since I've never met the ex.
After my grandparents house we'll come back home and my brother, sister and I will bring our gifts from our parents upstairs and stack them into our piles before retiring for bed.
Christmas morning consists of gifts with my immediate family. Later in the day my uncle will come down from Worcester for Christmas dinner. After dinner uusally my exitended family stops over for dessert. It's a busy two days but it's a lot of fun. What am I going to do if I ever get a serious boy friend? I might have to marry a Jewish person just so I can maintain my Christmas traditions.
I hope every one has a safe and happy holiday!

Ireland in Excess
D1- We flew into Dublin and had 1.5 hours to hang out there. We got a really good breakfast (pancakes with banana and nutella) and walked around and did some shopping. That night they had a dinner and reception for us so we could get to know the people we were traveling with. Everyone on the tour was really cool. We sat next to 4 old dudes for dinner and one of them thought I was cool and wants to break up his sons marriage so I can be his daughter in law. It was funny. He kept calling me his daughter in law the entire trip.
D2- We spent a lot of time on the bus touring, Waterford was closed due to recent layoffs so our tour guide had us go to a bar and has his friend play classic irish music for us. It was soo awesome. We also went to Cashel to see castle. At night we went out to downtown Kilkenny for dinner and out for drinks. My mom was going to leave me alone a cab ride away form the hotel because she told my aunt that I didn't want to hang out with her (my aunt) but my aunt stayed and we went to like 10 different pubs with another couple on the tour and then went to the hotel and drank with everyone from our tour until 4am.
D3- We went to Killarney stopping at a few scenic places on the way. Our tour guide had us stop at his friends shop and they had Irish coffee waiting for us. We also went and got a Jameson tour and I became and official Irish Whiskey Taster. At night there was a dinner at the hotel and then we went out to a few pubs and then came to the hotel pub and I ended up becoming best friends with workers from the bar and ended up making out with a boy that worked at the hotel who is originally from Poland. His friend Gerry liked me but Gerry wasn't cute so I went for the cute one.
D4- Went site seeing over every where- cliffs, blarney and what not. At night we went to dinner that our tour guide put together for us with live Irish dancing and Irish music. I was supposed to go on a date with the Polish guy but we got back to the hotel too late and he didn't wait for me. Oh well. I ended up hanging out with Gerry the entire night and this guy from the tour that was short and liked me. It was fun. We also became friends with the liquour license guy and he bought our rounds of baby Guiness shots, Whiskey and beer. I love the Irish!
D5- Drove through Shannon and stopped at a bar on the way to the airport then flew home. Spent 3 hours in traffic to get from the airport to my apartment. Awesome.
Oddly one of the couples on tour graduated in 1999 from Bentley and her dad and step- mom work at Intel. Another couple looked familiar and it turns out they lived in the town over from me and used to come into Big Y all the time and I used to get them their rainchecks. Another guy works in hudson and goes to the same place I go for happy hour when we have them after work.
I want to move there. The guys love red heads. I have never been hit on so much in my life. And it wasn't the creepy hit on either. They don't have many girls with red hair their and so they love it when they can find them. I seriously should move their to get a husband and move back. What Irish guy doesn't want a green card? And when America tanks we can move back to Ireland!

Ireland
Ireland on Thursday! I'm soo excited! 5 days in Ireland followed by 6 days in CT for the holiday. That means 11 days of NO WORK! I'm so excited. It's been long coming. It's been awhile since I've had more than 4 days away from work. I'm going with the Harpoon Brewery and with my mom, aunt, and my moms be-fri Brenda. It is going to be an awesome trip! We spend a few hours in Dublin but most of it is between Killarny and Kilkenny. I can't wait! I totally plan on singing Rugby songs in a bar!

For Em
I title this "For Em" because I feel if I don't post something in a few days she'll tell me to...
I've been busy lately. Grad school and work has been busy. Classes are normal- lots of reading and team members that don't do their fair share of the work. Seriously if you are the VP of a company you should be able to know what initiative is instead of being the biggest slacker in the team.
Work is rough. I really like my non-finance portion of my job that I just started to take on. It's a team I worked with when I was in NJ and they are great people- smart and fun. Other than that it's stressful. There is a lot of turn over on the senior engineering staff and one of my favorite guys is leaving. He's helped me with all my business accumen and always has my back. He told me I'm the first finance person he's ever liked.
Other than that I've been doing good. I came to the realization that I need to stop planning. It causes too much stress and I plan too far out. Also I'm excited the Cardninal's beat the Yankees becuase Casey Blake is HOT and now I get to see him play the Red Sox! Can he get traded to the Red Sox so I don't feel guilty for my crush?
Next week is going to be busy. Monday I have to work late and then Tuesday and Thursday I'm going out with coworkers after work becuase one is going to Malaysia and the other ones leaving the company. Hopefully I'll have time to go get free drinks with Andy Thursday night courtesy of Bentley College.
Also in sad news. Bentley had a student die from Menegitis this week. That was my largest fear in undergrad. I feel bad for the girls family and friends. Everyone keeps saying how great she was but I bet no one told her that when she was alive. Everyone should show more appreciation while people are alive. So I'm going to start telling people that I appreciate them more since you never know when they are going to leave.
Since only three people read my blog I'll start now-
Em- I heart that you embrace your geekiness instead of trying to hide it. I also wish I liked good beer when I lived in NJ becuase I love it now and feel like I would have learned more from you.
Emily- I miss our OTB trips.. and your father calling me a catch and all your mental support for me when I was in NJ.
Katy- I like how you are so direct and honest. Also, I can't wait to be mentioned in your transcript when it's finished! AND I can't wait until it's finished so we can go get Dozen's cupcakes and I can see Pittsburgh. But please wear clothes the weekend I visit instead of walking around your house nude.

I need inspiration
Why am I doing what I'm doing... For the past few months I've been working 60+ hour weeks, traveling for work, grad school and what not. I need some inspiration to get me through the next 14 months to graduation.
Last week I took a 4 day weekend. You would think it would be relaxing but it was jammed packed. Friday I got a massage, went to the mall then did homework all night. Saturday I went to two hours of dance lessons, did more homework and went to movie night at a friends. Sunday I went home and ate my dad's crepes (awesome), saw my great grandma, went to So You Think You Can Dance with my Aunt becuase my mom reinjured her knee... she better be ok in 8 weeks for IRELAND. Then Monday I went to the dentist, breakfast with friends from home, interviewed a Wiccan's business on her business of basically Hogwarts, got Reiki from my friends mom and went to work. Now it's Friday night and I'm writing a paper and have so much more homework... What am I going to do with myself when I'm done grad school? I'm going to have soo much free time. Why am I getting my MBA? What is the point- to have more guys afraid of a smart female? To work more hours? Just to say I have it? I need some inspiration to get me through this. Or a job in which I leave work and I don't think about it, not one where at 10pm I get phone calls from my GM about charitable contributions or the becuase he doesn't know how to look at emails from me giving him the package he needs to present.
